Reebok #PerfectNever

Confidence has never come easily for me.

Whether it be concerning my weight or my appearance, there was always some part of me that never felt good enough.

Growing up I would always wish to be skinnier, or to be taller, or to be more attractive. This self-doubt led to extreme actions, on my part, in my effort to attain “perfection.”

It’s taken me seven years to learn to love myself the way I am, and some days are still harder than ever.

So when I was picked for Reebok’s perfect never campaign, my first thought was- “I hope I’m not sent the sports bra, because I don’t want to have to show my stomach.”

Well… I was sent the sports bra— because I’m almost certain the universe is just as sick of my lack of self-love as I am.

The purpose of Reebok’s perfect never campaign w/ Influenster is to help women see that they’re enough.

Being “perfect” is not a reality that we should be striving towards. We should turn our focuses towards being our best selves and accept any bumps and bruises we get along the way as just party the journey.

It is important to find strength in your imperfections and strive to be the best version of yourself, even if its not perfect.

For me, perfect never means that I always have room for growth–in any and all aspects of my life–I’m not perfect and I see that as a positive thing.

Reebok has announced that Gigi is the face of their #PerfectNever campaign–previously fronted by UFC Champion Ronda Rousey–which encourages women to not only celebrate their imperfections, but be motivated by them.
